CPCS recruits Kazakhstan-based transportation and infrastructure consultant Aizhan Beiseyeva to assist institutions and regional stakeholders realizing their infrastructure development goals.

New presence for CPCS in Central Asia

CPCS is strengthening its engagement in Central Asia with the establishment of its first permanent presence in the region. This move brings us closer to governments, regional institutions and development partners at a time when Central Asia is accelerating major infrastructure reforms.

Our new presence is supported by two CPCS executive advisors, Kristen Hartpence and Andrew Bouffard, who have extensive experience advising on complex infrastructure and connectivity programs.

CPCS has played a role in several strategic initiatives shaping the region’s economic development:

  • Sustainable transport corridors: Advising on the development of sustainable transport corridors in Central Asia, linking East Asia with European Union (EU) markets and stimulating regional economic development. This project led to an EU commitment of €10 billion for hard and soft infrastructure improvements along Central Asia corridors.
  • Intra-regional connectivity: Working on projects aimed at enhancing intra-regional connectivity in Central Asia, by enhancing the development of transport, energy and digital infrastructure.
