As Partner and Vice President, Philip leads teams and oversees infrastructure projects for clients across Africa’s Anglophone and Lusophone markets.

Philip provides support and guidance to project managers, analysts and technical specialists on how to approach challenges or opportunities that arise in day-to-day project delivery. He has extensive project preparation and implementation experience in PPP transactions for transport, energy and urban/rural infrastructure. His expertise lies in structuring projects to attract equity and debt financing and addressing Value for Money requirements, particularly for public sector clients.

Philip was a key player in several successful transactions in West Africa, such as the container terminal transaction at the Port of Freetown in Sierra Leone, the Nigeria power sector transactions (which raised over $2 billion in proceeds) and the Abuja Light Rail project.

A trained economist with an MBA, Philip’s work balances the commercial expectations of private investors with the important socio-economic objectives of public project sponsors.
