Romain Frandji

Vice President, Francophone Africa – West

Romain oversees infrastructure projects in francophone countries across West Africa. He has  over 15 years of experience in sustainable energy projects, including renewable energy, energy efficiency and rural, peri-urban electrification. 

Romain’s expertise covers the whole project cycle in renewable energy and electricity access:

  • Development of electrification master plans
  • Feasibility and pre-feasibility studies
  • Infrastructure project management
  • Strategic advisory
  • Institutional support
  • Capacity building

Romain has worked with most of the Central and West African institutions (power utilities, rural electrification agencies and regulatory agencies) and spent a few years in Burkina Faso, where he managed a consulting firm specializing in the power sector.

As team leader or project manager, he has successfully led international teams and delivered high quality consulting and advisory services to major international finance institutions, including the Millennium Challenge Corporation, the World Bank, the European Commission and the African Development Bank.
