CPCS evaluated corporatization options for the Central Electricity Board (CEB), recommended the most suitable model, and supported the implementation of the corporatization as part of Mauritius undertaking a power-sector reform. CPCS supported the reforms objectives of achieving greater efficiency and cost effectiveness; and providing a world-class standard of service through deregulation, creating competition in the generation sector, and opening the electricity market to foreign strategic partners.
