COMPASS Freight Study

COMPASS (Community Planning Association of Southwest Idaho)

CPCS led the development of a study in Boise, Idaho, on regional economic competitiveness, land use and rail operations, using a novel approach to harness business, economic, and truck GPS data to identify key freight clusters, describe the importance of freight-dependent industries to the economy, identify key truck freight corridors, assess rail and road performance, identify potential projects, and develop policy recommendations on integrating freight into the project prioritization process.
