Development of a Multimodal Transportation Strategy for Great Lakes Region
Council of the Great Lakes Region
CPCS led the development of an overarching multimodal transportation strategy for the bi-national Great Lakes region (comprising eight US states and two Canadian provinces). The overarching objectives of the Transportation Strategy are twofold: Assess needs and priorities: Provide a big picture view of the region’s major passenger and freight transportation challenges and opportunities, now and in the future. Define the strategy: Provide an overarching strategic framework for the region’s transportation system that can serve to rally public and private sector decisions makers around common goals, priorities, and actions and inform their respective plans.
