Forward Looking Planning and Coordination of Canada’s Grain Supply Chains

Transport Canada

CPCS documented the marine vessel ordering process for grain supplies; how future grain sales are communicated through the supply chain; and how this information is used to coordinate the transport of grain for export through the ports of Vancouver, Prince Rupert and Thunder Bay. CPCS also identified and described the grain vessel call process, including how the number of vessels ordered is determined and the timing of those orders.
