Ian Griffiths
Principal Consultant, US
I’ve worked for over seventeen years on projects enhancing public transit networks and customer experience across North America in the public, private, and non-profit sectors.
I’ve developed public transportation network visions, strategic planning frameworks, customer experience and design excellence standards, station modernization and transit-oriented development plans, and governance reform projects. Across all the projects I work on, I help public agencies and clients orient their plans, policies, practices, and funding toward providing a more seamless transit experience for customers.
Prior to joining CPCS, I founded and co-led the public transit policy and advocacy group Seamless Bay Area, where I led research on global practices related to transit fare policy, regional integration, transit service coordination, accessibility, funding, network planning, and capital project planning.
In 2023, I was appointed by California Secretary of Transportation Toks Omishakin to the state’s Transit Transformation Task Force. Previously, I also served on the Metropolitan Transportation Commission’s 2020-21 Blue Ribbon Transit Recovery Task Force.
