Kristen Hartpence
Vice President, US international
I oversee international projects financed by US development agencies. I’m an economist with over 15 years of consulting experience with public and private clients in various infrastructure sectors.
I’m an experienced project manager and technical expert, with a specialization in transport and logistics. I have extensive experience assessing transport corridor logistics and analyzing trade and transport issues across Africa, Asia, Europe, and North America. This includes analyzing performance, bottlenecks, policy/regulatory/institutional matters, and recommending actions, investments, and reforms. I regularly conduct economic analysis and evaluate the economic impact of infrastructure projects.
My recent projects include supporting the development of economic corridors in West Africa and Canada, transport and logistics services of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (Middle Corridor), and multimodal transport in Thailand.
Before joining CPCS, I led the Logistics Practice at the economic and analytics consulting firm Nathan Associates (now Cadmus), and earlier in my career, I conducted analysis for competition policy and antitrust issues.
