CPCS supports the Canadian Purpose Economy Project

CPCS, an employee-owned infrastructure advisory firm whose purpose is improving lives through better infrastructure signs the Canadian Purpose Economy Project’s Call to Purpose, joining over 100 Canadian businesses leaders embracing social purpose.

CPCS champions social purpose by guiding infrastructure leaders and decision-makers on achieving greater inclusion, fairness, and sustainability through improved infrastructure design, planning, and implementation. Delivering a transit equity study for Infrastructure Canada is one of several examples.

Key points

  • CPCS co-CEOs on purpose economies: “CPCS is built on purpose. In fact, we value purpose over profit.”

  • About the Canadian Purpose Economy Project (CPEP): It convenes, connects, curates, and collaborates to drive the social purpose business movement in Canada toward an economy where social purpose business is the norm, attracting capital, talent, and partners.

  • This Call to Purpose “is a call for action from CEOs to CEOs, to unite businesses, governments and industry associations behind the collective vision and commitment to sustained progress toward a purpose-first economy,” says the CPEP.

  • A social purpose business, says CPEP, is “a business whose reason for being is to create a better world. Its purpose is to profitably solve the problems of people and planet without causing harm to either. It is the company’s strategic optimal contribution to long-term well-being for all.”
