Dimantha is an expert in the development of transport demand models and land use models. He has more than 20 years of academic and consulting experience in transportation engineering.

Prior to joining CPCS, Dimantha worked as a senior lecturer at the University of Moratuwa in Sri Lanka and had a lead role in consulting and advising the government of Sri Lanka on transport infrastructure development. He has worked as a consultant with multilateral agencies such as Asian Development Bank (ADB), World Bank, United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), and United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP). His work experience spans Canada, the US and Sri Lanka

  • Enjoys sports, especially cricket, rugby, badminton and swimming
  • Loves travelling and exploring with his wife and two daughters
  • Plays the keyboard in a local Sri Lankan band called Muntalus
