Ethan Schwartz

Senior Consultant, Anglophone and Lusophone Africa

Ethan is a civil engineer with a master’s degree in international relations. He has six years of multidisciplinary experience in energy, infrastructure, and climate finance in emerging markets.

At CPCS, Ethan manages various impactful projects. These include developing a distribution investment plan in Somalia and advising on the optimal project structure to attract capital for a bus rapid transit system in Ghana.

Before joining CPCS Ethan at JCM Power, focusing on the development of solar and wind projects in Africa and Asia. He also contributed to the Green Climate Fund, supporting programming in the Asia-Pacific region.

Ethan has lived in Canada, Spain, Korea, Malawi, and South Africa. He speaks English, French, and Spanish.

  • Travelled to more than 110 countries 
  • Has played guitar with the rock band The Poor Decisions, and is a classically trained trombonist 
  • Enjoys exercising and has run four marathons, including an ultramarathon
